Beach House Blaze, featured in FireRescue Magazine

At approximately 0700 hrs on August 5, the BF Dep responded to a working house fire located at 12 Cove Lane in WH Dunes. Upon arrival, firefighters found the house fully involved and were unable to perform an interior attack. Eastport and Quogue Fire Departments provided mutual aid. The East Quogue Fire Department also responded to stand by during the fire.

Firefighters controlled the blaze after 45 minutes, but the house was lost. No injuries were reported, and there was no danger to surrounding houses. The Suffolk County Fire Marshal’s office is currently investigating the fire’s cause.
