Department Alarms for the Year 2001

The following list of alarms are year to date. This year
we included a couple new categories. As the years change so do the needs
of the community. |

Added to this years alarm calls are calls for *water /
ice rescues, *Automatic alarms, *Miscellaneous rescues |
* Water / Ice rescues = This was added because of the resort community we
live in we have found that these calls are becoming a lot more prevalent.
*Automatic Alarms = This list was added because not every call is an actual
structure fire! A lot of fire calls are from various things such as: Someone
burnt their dinner and it set off the smoke alarm, A worker was sanding hardwood
floors and the dust set off the alarm, a kid pulls the alarm at the school as a
prank. etc...
* Miscellaneous Rescues = This was added because there are calls we go
on to aid people aid animals or people who need it. Some examples are: Cat
stuck in a tree, Someone got their hand stuck in a piece of machinery, A person
needed help after falling down the stairs, someone's basement flooded and needed
our help to pump out the water, etc...
